Personal sensing in UCD Insight Centre for Data Analytics

The Insight Centre for Data Analytics is one of the largest research centres for data analytics in Europe. Professor Madeleine Lowery leads or contributes to a number of projects within the UCD branch of this multi-campus centre. For example, Matthew Flood, a PhD student supervised by Madeleine Lowery, is investigating the potential of using electromyography to identify biomarkers of neurodegenerative disease. Dr Clare Davidson undertook post-doctoral research in UCD Insight on Deep Brain Stimulation and recently was awarded an SFI Industry Fellowship to work with InsulCHECK on the development of wearable blood glucose monitors. The Human Performance Sensing Suite is located in the UCD Insight Centre and is available to facilitate interdisciplinary investigations.
